French Silver Brooch St Micheal related Heraldic Shield from Mont St Michel Coat of Arms with Fleur de lis & scallop shells. Circa early to mid 20th century. In lovely condition.
A vintage unmarked silver (tested) brooch, with trombone clasp and a french shield depicting fleur-de-lis and scallop shells over a sword. In this part of France the scallop shell is associated with St Micheal rather than St James, and appears in the coat of arms in the Norman Abbey in Mont St Michel.
