Rare 1904 Antique Lithograph Print: St. Anne’s Church, Soho by Arthur Cadogan Blunt
An exceptional find for collectors of Edwardian British art and London architectural history. This original 1904 transfer lithograph beautifully depicts the historic gated entrance and path leading to St. Anne’s Church on Wardour Street in Soho, London.
Strictly Limited Edition – Only 30 Copies Printed
The reverse of this historic print bears the crucial pencil notation confirming its extreme scarcity: “Lithographs and Anne Soho about 1904 printed by Goulding only 30 copies.” Because of this incredibly small print run, very few examples of this composition survive today outside of permanent museum collections (such as the British Museum), we have 2 from the collection. Pencil Signed.
The Master Printer Provenance
This piece was produced by the legendary master printer Frederick Goulding (1842–1909). Goulding was widely regarded as the premier fine art printer of his generation, trusted explicitly to pull impressions for master printmakers like James McNeill Whistler and Francis Seymour Haden. His expert involvement guarantees superb tonal depth, texture, and historical importance.
